Mobile Puncture Repair
A nail or screw in your tyre doesn't always mean a new one. We'll check the damage and repair it properly on the spot if it's safe to.

Can my tyre be repaired?
Under the British Standard for tyre repairs (BS AU 159), a car tyre can usually be repaired when:
- The damage is in the central part of the tread, not the shoulder or sidewall
- The hole is no bigger than 6mm
- The tyre hasn't been driven on flat long enough to damage it inside
We take the tyre off the wheel to check the inside, because damage can hide there. If it isn't safe to repair, we'll tell you straight and can replace it there and then.
Repair or replace?
A proper plug-and-patch repair from the inside is a permanent fix. Sealant from a puncture kit is a temporary get-you-home, and it can make a later repair harder. Read more in our guide: can a punctured tyre be repaired?
Questions about mobile puncture repair
Can you repair a puncture in the sidewall?
No. Sidewall and shoulder damage can't be safely repaired, so the tyre needs replacing.
Can run-flat tyres be repaired?
Some can, depending on the tyre maker and how far it was driven flat. We'll check and advise.
I've used a puncture repair kit. Can you still help?
Yes. Tell us when you call, as the sealant needs cleaning out before we can assess the tyre.
